About Us
We’re Lauren & Scott at Cook Farms.
We love good food, and love it even more when it’s produced in an environmentally-friendly way. We wanted a farm to raise a family and produce high quality food in a sustainable way. We are a first generation farm established in 2017.
Scott had a career in land management and wildland fire as a smokejumper before moving out to mid-Missouri. During that time, he was able to see different agricultural practices across the country and have a few adventures.
Fate brought us to mid Missouri through Lauren’s work in health care. We are proud to call the Show-Me state home!
We have been hard at work making the farm a better place through regenerative practices and improving the soil. A portion of the farm is managed for wildlife habitat through food plots and timber stand improvement projects. With a number of ponds and creeks on the property, water quality is always a priority.
